Ramsgiving: Join In!
University Day. Homecoming. Ramsgiving?
As a Tar Heel, you're instantly a part of several hundred-year old traditions - and now it's time to start a new one!
Be there at the beginning: this Thursday, we are hosting the First Ramsgiving to celebrate the rich culture of North Carolina, investigate areas of need and further the history of UNC students gathering together, giving back and growing as a university family to do good in the community and the world at large.
Ramsgiving will feature a traditional feast of local North Carolina foods as well as opportunities for community charity. Local charitable organizations Carolina Cupboard, A Drink for Tomorrow, TABLE, Meals on Wheels, Carolina Campus Community Garden, Habitat for Humanity, Toys for Tots, Volunteers for Youth and the American Red Cross have partnered with Carolina Dining Services to promote engagement and help you reach out in new ways to people in need.
Ramsgiving will be held at Rams Head dinner on November 19th, from 5PM to 8PM. Follow CDS and #TheFirstRamsgiving on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Snapchat to find out more about how you can get involved in the beginning of a Tar Heel tradition!
