1.5.0. Food1.5.0, Lenoir Mainstreet's newest dining location, is committed to locally grown food and environmentally friendly practices.

1.5.0. features locally grown and harvested food freshly prepared by experienced chefs.  It's seasonal menu also includes organic produce, cage-free eggs and chicken, grass fed beef and sustainable seafood.


In addition to food, 1.5.0.offers an engaging and educational experience.  Customers are connected with the farms from which their food is harvested through farmer profiles.  Interesting facts and eco-saving techniques create an atmosphere that informs guests on ways to make sustainability a part of their daily lives.

Goal 1:  Serve Local & Sustainable Food
Locally sourced foods defined as grown or produced within a radius of 150 miles. Our partnerships with local farms and suppliers support the growth and availability of fresh whole foods raised, grown and harvested sustainably- positively impacting our health and supporting our local economy.

1.5.0 and chef

Engage in the positive, ethical buying of products and services, aiming to enrich local communities.  We challenge ourselves to be responsible for our environmental effects and accountable for our environmental impact.

 

Goal 2:  Wall 2 Wall

Provide a healthy environment for our patrons and staff and minimize our environmental footprint to help protect our finite natural resources. 


Goal 3:  Operate SMART

Provide organic and local uniforms for employees. 
Use 100% unbleached and recycled content napkins, cleaning products certified by Green Seal, practice energy & water conservation.  Offer reusable Eco-Takeout containers.

 

Goal 4:  Reduce, Reuse, Recycle 

Promote and practice waste reduction, reuse and recycling in our operations to help sustain our natural resources and divert waste from landfills.
